CSU Launches New Ticketing System

July 11, 2006

Fans purchasing tickets to Colorado State University events will be able to take advantage of the latest technology in a new system the Rams' athletic department implemented earlier this month.

An entirely new ticketing system will provide fans the most convenient method to purchase tickets online at CSURAMS.com, said Director of Athletics Paul Kowalczyk.

"We're excited to be able to offer a convenient and efficient way for our fans to order tickets online," said Kowalczyk. "At any time, a Ram fan will be able to select exact seat locations for our events."

In the new system, fans can view the exact seat location they plan to purchase, and complete the entire transaction online. The department is planning to expand the system to include online season ticket renewals, beginning with the 2006-07 men's and women's basketball seasons, Kowalczyk said.

The department is in the process of converting to a new system developed by Paciolan, the industry leader in ticketing solutions. The system is focused on customer service, allowing fans to purchase tickets 24 hours a day, seven days a week with the convenience of secured purchase. The new system will in place in the next two weeks.

Fans will have access to the best seats available and in the near future, can make seat selections using a "view-from-the-seat" feature. Internet ticket sales is the fastest growing distribution method in the country.

Kowalczyk also announced that single-game tickets for CSU's six-game home schedule including the Sept. 9 date with in-state rival in Colorado to be played in Denver go on sale July 17. However, he said, fans who purchase season tickets for as little as $99 will receive priority locations for the game in Denver.

"The best way for Ram fans to secure the best seats available in Denver is by purchasing season tickets and being a member of the Ram Club," Kowalczyk said.

"While we still want fans to consider purchasing season tickets, we recognize there is also a single-game demand that we need to meet," Kowalczyk said. "The bottom line for us: We want the stadium filled with rabid Rams. Their support for Coach Lubick and the team will be critical to our continued success."

Colorado State University football fans who are season ticket holders and Ram Club members will have will receive the best seats available for the Rams' game with Colorado Sept. 9 at INVESCO Field at Mile High in Denver.

In past games played at INVESCO, Ram Club members who are season ticket holders have been seated in the lower bowl of the stadium.

Fans who join the Ram Club and are season ticket holders by noon July 11 will receive the top priority for seating in Denver. Fans can call 1-800-491-RAMS to purchase season tickets, and can join the Ram Club online at CSURAMS.com, or call 970-491-4666.

Season ticket holders and Ram Club members also receive additional benefits for home games at Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium in Fort Collins including parking priority and other amenities.

Ram Club membership helps generate scholarship funding for the school's 400 student-athletes.

CSU students can purchase tickets to the CU game beginning July 24 through Aug. 23, online at CSURAMS.com.
