Elton John Sets New Record for Artist Sell-Out at John Labatt Centre
Beats 2004 Concert Record Shared by Canadian Female Artists Shania Twain and Avril Lavigne

London: Global Spectrum Facility Management at the John Labatt Centre is proud to announce that a new record for a sell-out by an artist was set this morning with the 10:00 a.m. onsale for Elton John.

According the John Labatt Centre’s official ticketing provider New Era Tickets, tickets for Elton John were officially sold out in five minutes, eclipsing by one minute, the previous record shared by Canadian Country Artist Shania Twain for the second of two shows on May 10th and 11th, 2004 and Canadian Juno winner Avril Lavigne on April 13th, 2003.

The five minute sell out by Elton John, presented by House of Blues Concerts Canada, vaults him to the top a prestigious list ahead of the Twain and Lavigne. Other notable artists to rate mention on the list of fastest John Labatt Centre sell-outs include Cher whose 2002 went clean in 9 minutes, a Royal Christmas featuring Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in December of 2002 and rock legends Metallica who ended ticket sales in 11 minutes.
