Toronto Symphony Orchestra & Canadian Opera Company Select Paciolan's Hosted Ticketing Solution Paciolan Opens Toronto Office in Response to Demand from Canadian Venues
Irvine, Calif., (8/21/2001)

After evaluating many ticketing solutions, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Canadian Opera Company have both chosen Paciolan’s comprehensive ticketing solution, which will be hosted on a private, secure server.

Both organizations were won over by Paciolan’s product offerings and open-market philosophy, which enables them to retain control of their brand and customer relationships.

By selecting the hosted package, the centers will avoid upfront infrastructure costs, without sacrificing security. The seven-year agreements include hosted deployment of Paciolan’s back office software and e.Venue™, the digital link between the back office data and the Internet. A dedicated site manager will provide system support from the company’s new office in Toronto.

“Of the competing solutions we scrutinized during the selection process, Paciolan’s was the best one to help us serve our customers,” said Anne-Marie Wilson, director of finance and administration at the Toronto Symphony. “From both a technology platform and business point of view, Paciolan provides the kind of vision and technological features we need to optimize our customer relationships.”

With Paciolan’s solution, both venues will be able to sell to their patrons via their Web site, 24x7. The symphony and opera serve a combined total of more than 400,000 patrons annually.

“We just completed a rebranding process, and needed a solution that would help us to build our brand via direct communications with our patrons,” said Jeremy Elbourne, marketing director for the Canadian Opera Company. “With Paciolan, we will be able to capture and share patron information across all departments, implement targeted communication programs and generate greater awareness of the Canadian Opera Company.”

“Paciolan is a proven solution designed to help venues build relationships with their customer base – their patrons,” said Jane Kleinberger, Paciolan’s chief executive officer. “Our office in Scotia Plaza will provide venues with secured access to Paciolan’s applications, without a large, upfront investment in hardware, software and technical staff.”
