Paciolan Completes Build Out of Management Team With New President/COO
Irvine, Calif. (4/17/2001)

Recognizing the company’s role as the dominant technology provider in live entertainment ticketing and its significant future growth potential, John Hnanicek joined Paciolan as president/chief operating officer, it was announced today by chief executive officer Jane Kleinberger.

Hnanicek brings an extremely solid background in information technology and operations management to Paciolan. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief operating officer at eToys, Inc., where he led the development and deployment of the eToys technology and fulfillment infrastructures, widely viewed as best of class among Internet e-commerce companies. Previously, Hnanicek held roles in technology and operations with OfficeMax and Hollywood Entertainment during periods of rapid growth. Hnanicek is also a member of Intel’s Customer Advisory Board.

"We’ve been looking for a seasoned individual with experience in rapid growth environments to effectively manage our dramatic growth. John brings that and more to Paciolan," said Kleinberger.

With Hnanicek’s addition to the executive ranks, Paciolan completes a management team build out that began last summer after an infusion of venture capital funding.

Matthew Witte, who led the funding as principal of Marwit Capital, has taken a sabbatical from his fund to also join Paciolan’s senior management team as executive vice president and co-chairman of the board, focusing on finance and strategic partnering initiatives, as well as all capital markets transactions.

Steve Richards joined the company earlier this year as vice president of Internet solutions. He is responsible for the management and future vision of the company’s Web-based offerings. He was previously national director of sales at Rapidigm Interactive, vice president of professional services at Spectria/Systematic Systems Integration and senior manager with Ernst & Young’s consulting services group.

"With the addition of John, Matt and Steve, we now have a solid team in place to provide the leadership required to ensure Paciolan’s continued growth," said Kleinberger, who will focus her efforts on sales and marketing as Hnanicek takes over the role of leading the company’s technology and operations.

"I’m excited to be joining Paciolan at this unique juncture in its 20-year history," said Hnanicek. "The company's path of strong and profitable growth has taken an even greater ascent in the past year or so. I’m eager to move forward as the architect of the company's new platform for growth."

The newest members of the senior management team join veterans Kleinberger and chief technology officer Sudhir Krishnaswamy in supporting the company’s accelerated growth and realizing its potential.

Kleinberger joined Paciolan in 1981 and has led the company and its strategic direction since 1992. Anticipating the impact the Internet would have on the ticketing industry, she was a pioneer in driving Paciolan’s transition from a ticketing operations-oriented company to a technology-based marketing organization.

Krishnaswamy is charged with charting Paciolan’s technical direction and developing the enabling technologies to create well engineered, industry-leading products. He was the chief designer of e.Venue™, a digital link that allows major sports and entertainment venues to sell their tickets through their web sites or through any combination of delivery channels. He joined the company in 1987.
