Royal Ontario Museum Selects the Windows Version of Paciolan’s Ticketing Solution
Irvine, Calif., (7/19/2001)

Paciolan today announced that the Royal Ontario Museum of Toronto, Canada, has chosen the latest release of Paciolan’s ticketing application, t.Gen™, which comes complete with an easy-to-use Windows® interface and robust scheduling capabilities.

The Royal Ontario Museum, Canada’s largest museum of civilization and nature, recently launched a five-year revitalization plan, and purchased t.Gen in anticipation of increased visitor volume. The museum currently hosts over one million visitors a year.

“We expect the gallery expansion to generate more visitors and ticket sales,” said Frank Petersen, director of hosting and special services at the Royal Ontario Museum. “We chose Paciolan because of the company’s depth of experience and stability. We also were sold on the ticketing solution’s strong scheduling capabilities and integration to membership and development.”

t.Gen incorporates general admission, advance reservations, school group scheduling, special events, and staff and volunteer scheduling. With t.Gen’s comprehensive search engine, one query locates the appropriate staff, facility and available resources for specified events within a date and time range. Custom confirmations can be generated on the fly through t.Gen’s integration to Microsoft Word®. In addition, the point-and-click simplicity of the Windows interface accelerates the sales process and reduces visitors’ time spent in line.

“Paciolan was pleased to offer the Royal Ontario Museum the right ticketing solution it needed during this time of expansion,” said Jane Kleinberger, chief executive officer of Paciolan. “Our back-office system will help the museum serve its customers in a quicker, more efficient manner, ultimately improving ticket sales at the venue.”
