State University Wins Paciolan's 2002 Football Season Renewal Contest
With Highest e.Venue© Online Renewal Rate of 59.72% Paciolan, the leading ticketing, fundraising and marketing technology solutions provider for live entertainment venues, announces Iowa State University (ISU) as the winner of their first annual $10,000 cash football season ticket renewal contest. Thirty Paciolan college athletic clients competed to achieve the highest adoption renewal rate (the most number of online renewals vs. manually processed mail-in or phone renewals) and encouraged their season ticket holders to discover the convenience of renewing football season tickets online via e.Venue, Paciolan's e-commerce ticketing, fundraising and marketing solution. In their first year of automating renewals online, Iowa State University won the $10,000 cash prize donation from Paciolan with 59.72% adoption renewal rate followed by Virginia Tech at 53.39%. A total of twelve universities achieved over 30% adoption and will be awarded with a $5,000 credit towards Paciolan products and services. To entice season ticket holders to renew online, athletic departments offered attractive prizes, and Paciolan increased the stakes by contributing a $500 cash prize towards their fan-based “renew via e.Venue” sweepstakes. Iowa State offered compelling prizes such as free tickets, media guides, upgraded seats, autographed merchandise, parking and sideline passes. ISU also aggressively drove online renewal awareness via email, flyers, press release announcements, banners, buttons and pop-up windows on their website and promoted their easy-to-remember URL, www.cyclones.com via all marketing channels. They also dedicated a section of their website to provide season renewal instructions to their season ticket holders and detailed information on student renewals.
