Omaha Zoo Partners with Ticketing Enabler, Paciolan
Irvine, Calif. (12/20/2002)

Paciolan, the leading ticketing technology solutions provider for live entertainment venues, partnered with Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo to automate their admissions operations. The Zoo will utilize Paciolan’s general admission ticketing software, t.Gen, designed with a user-friendly Windows® interface and robust scheduling capabilities to efficiently manage their admissions process including combination ticket packages and time-phased entry for the Lozier IMAX Theater.

t.Gen offers a single, efficient, and accurate reservations process including functionality for general admission ticketing, advance reservations, school group scheduling, special events, staff and volunteer scheduling. With t.Gen’s comprehensive search engine, one query can locate the appropriate staff, facility and available resources for specified events within a date and time range. Custom confirmations can be generated through t.Gen’s integration to Microsoft Word. In addition, the point-and-click simplicity of the Windows interface accelerates the sales process and reduces visitors’ time spent in line.

The Zoo will also utilize Paciolan’s automated credit authorization application, t.Credit. By integrating t.Credit with t.Gen, the Zoo will be able to accept and process credit card transactions quickly and accurately, providing immediate order confirmation and expediting the settlement process. Utilizing a frame-relay connection offering high-speed transaction processing, the typical processing time ranges from 1-3 seconds per transaction. The Zoo will enjoy the added benefits of improved customer service, enhanced revenue generation, and reduced overhead costs.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the nation, with 1.2 million visitors annually. In addition to the animal exhibits, the Zoo includes an aquarium and will soon feature “Kingdoms of the Night” – the world’s largest nocturnal exhibit opening in Spring 2003.
