PACIOLAN
SELECTED BY PMI TO MANAGE THE RESCH CENTER, BROWN AUDITORIUM AND SHOPKO
HALL
INTERNET-BASED TRANSACTIONS AT THE KENNY CHESNEY CONCERT BREAK
RESCH CENTER RECORDS
Irvine, CA (April 14, 2005) PMI and Paciolan,
the leading provider of in-house ticketing solutions, recently announced
the signing of a multi-year partnership. Through the partnership Paciolan
will provide ticketing solutions for the Resch Center, Brown County Arena,
Shopko Hall, the Meyer Theatre and all other TicketStar venues.
Just weeks after implementing Paciolan’s ticketing system, the
Resch Center formally kicked off their relationship with three major events
a Josh Grobin concert and two Kenny Chesney concerts. Roughly 75%
of these tickets were sold via the Internet.
“Our previous ticketing system limited us to just 29 concurrent
users online and we rarely sold more than 20% of our tickets over the
Internet,” said Brendan Bruss, Chief Administrative Officer of
PMI, owners of TicketStar. “However, with the pent-up demand created
by increasingly bigger names performing at our arena, we needed to ensure
that our ticketing infrastructure would perform. Paciolan’s system
handled the three on-sales flawlessly. During the first hour of the Kenny
Chesney on-sale we sold almost 8,000 tickets of which 75% were sold online.
Frank Productions, the show’s promoter, was also impressed, not
only with ticket sales but with the frequency and accuracy of the reports.”
The new comprehensive ticketing system enables TicketStar, the Paciolan-based
website that supports the Resch Center, to sell tickets across their outlets,
box office, call center and the Internet via an integrated back-end patron
database. The Resch Center will also offer fans advanced digital ticketing
services, based on Paciolan’s Access Management technology. Integrated
with their core ticketing system, Access Management will provide the Resch
Center with automated ticket scanning, validation, on-demand attendance
reporting and the ability to formally greet fans as they enter events.
Fans will also benefit from the added convenience of instantly receiving
print-at-home tickets through TicketStar.
The TicketStar website will power ticket sales for all PMI properties.
It will also serve as the umbrella site from which PMI is well-positioned
to build its regional ticketing business. “One of the factors ultimately
guiding our decision was based on our desire to be a regional ticketing
hub for local venues. Paciolan offers us the ability to take advantage
of this untapped revenue opportunity immediately,” said Brendan
Bruss.
"Paciolan continues to rise to the demands set by arenas as the heavy
throughput of major on-sales continues to increase," said John Hnanicek,
CEO of Paciolan. "Paciolan’s comprehensive, integrated ticketing
solution not only effectively manages ticket sales, but also serves to
provide PMI’s TicketStar with the infrastructure needed to support
their ongoing drive to provide a better experience for their fans, promoters,
sponsors, and in the future, local venues that wish to reap the benefits
generated by controlling their ticketing.”
