Forty-Six Out of Fifty-Six Bowl Teams Use Paciolan To Sell Tickets

Paciolan, the leading ticketing enabler for college athletics, is powering the ticket sales for forty-six of this year’s fifty-six bowl teams, including all top ten Bowl Championship Series (BCS) teams. Collectively, these teams are using Paciolan’s ticketing software to sell tickets for twenty-six of this year’s twenty-eight bowl games.

Paciolan, a patron-management solution provider, offers tailored ticketing, fundraising and marketing solutions that enable large sports and entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets — eliminating the need for third-party distributors. By adopting “in-house” solutions, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue.

Paciolan’s venue enablement model puts teams in control of their fans’ data and their fan relationships. With Paciolan software, teams can offer their fans exclusive access to bowl tickets based on their fans’ donation and purchase history. This enables teams to reward donors and season ticket holders by offering them exclusive access to bowl tickets before the general public.

Twenty-three of this year’s bowl-teams offered bowl tickets exclusively to their donors and season ticket holders, giving these fans the opportunity to purchase tickets before the general public. In fact, Louisiana State University and the University of Michigan, sold out all their bowl tickets before they were ever made available to the general public.

By using Paciolan’s venue-enabling software, teams can sell tickets directly to fans through their team-branded website. Several teams, including the University of Michigan, Virginia Tech and Auburn University have already sold more than seventy-five percent of their bowl tickets online.
