Center for the Performing Arts Provides Ticketing Services for the Sundance
Film Festival The Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) announces they are providing the Sundance Film Festival (Sundance) the ticketing infrastructure to sell tickets for the 2004 Film Festival. DCPA uses Paciolan’s world-class ticketing technology to create a Sundance-branded ticketing system to serve all Sundance festival goers. Paciolan provides tailored ticketing, marketing and patron management solutions that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets. Paciolan clients, such as DCPA, have the unique ability to provide turnkey ticketing systems for regional organizations by sharing their centralized ticketing infrastructure. By partnering with DCPA, organizations or events can immediately utilize an industry-leading ticketing solution, with little set-up time, and no installation period. Working with DCPA also increases the organization’s operational and marketing efficiencies, allowing them to increase ticketing revenues – without relying on third-party distributors. Through Paciolan’s technology, DCPA is providing Sundance festival goers the ability to easily purchase tickets via the Internet, at the box office, or at regional retail outlets. Additionally, festival goers have access to DCPA’s local call center staff that has extensive experience in the entertainment industry, enabling them to provide superior customer service. “We are extremely excited to be working with the Sundance Film Festival, one of the world’s premier film festivals,” says Maureen Andersen, Director of Ticketing, DCPA. “This is truly a win-win relationship as DCPA’s resources will enhance each Sundance festival goer's purchasing experience. In addition, by sharing infrastructure and operational overhead costs, we are able to maximize our return on investment.” DCPA is providing the software and staff resources for the Sundance Film Festival to offer its festival goers the best-available ticketing technology. “Patrons can now purchase tickets 24 hours-a-day via our new paperless ordering system at www.sundance.org,” states Mark Chambers, Director of Ticketing, Sundance Film Festival. “We’re excited to be able to provide our festival goers with access to one of the most advanced ticketing systems available through this agreement with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.” DCPA has partnered with Denver’s performing arts community for three years, and now hosts ticketing services for 10 regional organizations selling over 1.8 million tickets annually. DCPA (www.dcpa.org) follows the successful model of other Paciolan-facilitated regional implementations such as the Colorado Rockies (RockiesTix), the Ottawa Senators / Corel Centre (www.capitaltickets.ca), the Frank Erwin Center at University of Texas (www.texasboxiffice.com ), and the Thomas & Mack Center at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (www.unlvtickets.com).
