Utilizing
Paciolan’s Ticketing, Fundraising and e-Commerce Technology, the
University of Hawaii Delivers Better Service to Fans and Students The University of Hawaii Athletic Department has increased their partnership with Paciolan enabling fans, students and patrons to purchase tickets and pledge donations directly through their branded web site, www.etickethawaii.com. In addition, UH will now manage ticket sales for the Paliku Theatre at Windward Community College, and for the annual Hawaii Bowl played at Aloha Stadium in December. Paciolan provides tailored ticket infrastructures that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets — eliminating the need for third-party distributors. By adopting “in-house” ticketing solutions, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue. Paciolan’s technology offers a seamless integration between the ticketing, fundraising and Internet solutions, enabling the University of Hawaii’s ticket office to process Internet transactions and offer their fans, students, and patrons, the convenience of real-time access to ticket inventory on a 24/7 basis. A patron-centric database inherent in the systems provides the functionality to capture fan/patron information such as demographics, ticket purchases, and donation history, thus maintaining ownership of each individual’s information for marketing promotions and special events. UH Athletics Director Herman Frazier stated, “This places the University and its Athletic Department in a position to better service our customers. We are indebted to `Ahahui Koa Anuenue (the athletic department’s development organization) and its board for providing the funding for this new technology.” The hosted e.Venue solution provides UH with a branded e-commerce site offering single ticket sales, subscription/season ticket sales and renewals, seat selection utilizing view-from-the-seat technology, and fan/patron loyalty programs. The Athletic Department will enjoy the added benefits of improved customer service, enhanced revenue generation, reduced overhead costs, and extended marketing outreach programs. “`Ahahui Koa Anuenue has enjoyed the services provided by Paciolan since 1986. We look forward to continuing our working relationship with Paciolan as we upgrade our technology and integrate with UH Athletics for fundraising, ticketing, and Internet services,” said James S. Burns, President of `Ahahui Koa Anuenue. Joni Ybarra, Marketing |
