and Corel Centre Partner with Paciolan to Launch CapitalTickets.ca The Ottawa Senators Hockey Club and Corel Centre together with Paciolan, a solution provider that allows venues to sell their own tickets, announced their partnership today enabling the Senators and Corel Centre to launch CapitalTickets.ca. This newly formed ticketing business will allow the Senators and Corel Centre to have direct and sole involvement in ticketing sales and branding. The partnership provides enhanced services to fans by allowing them to purchase, receive, transfer and manage their tickets, directly from the CapitalTickets.ca website. Additionally, the Senators plan to offer regional ticketing services to the Ottawa area through CapitalTickets.ca. "We are bringing our own ticketing system in-house so that we may provide the best possible fan experience, and capitalize on new revenue streams," states Jeff Kyle, vice-president of marketing, Ottawa Senators and Corel Centre. "With a distributor, you have limited opportunity for revenue growth, as they control and collect the majority of transaction fees." Paciolan provides tailored ticketing, marketing and patron management solutions that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets - eliminating the need for a third-party distributor. By adopting an "in-house" solution, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue. "We are now able to develop a life-long relationship with our fans," adds Mr. Kyle. "By providing valuable ticketing and patron management services, tailored to the needs of our fans, we can control our customer experience from start to finish." The CapitalTickets.ca ticketing solution features an integrated patron-centric database that captures individual fan information. The system includes a reserved-seat ticketing infrastructure, an online box office, access management functionality, and an e-mail marketing solution. Additionally, the Senators are implementing an online group sales solution, enabling their fans to easily participate in group events. "The Ottawa Senators and Corel Centre are the perfect partners to showcase Paciolan’s vision for ticketing. Today, more then ever, venues can and should control their own ticketing," said John Hnanicek, CEO, Paciolan. "By taking ticketing ‘in-house’, they will be able to control their customers’ experience, substantially improve return on investment, and deliver more value to consumers and sponsors." The Senators organization is the first in the NHL to both bring ticketing "in-house" and offer regional ticketing services. CapitalTickets.ca will offer ticket sales for multiple venues through an online hub, retail outlets, and call center channels. By centralizing ticketing, CapitalTickets.ca and its regional partners will capture marketing and operational efficiencies to increase profitability while expanding their revenue base. CapitalTickets.ca follows the successful model of other Paciolan-facilitated regional implementations such as the Colorado Rockies (RockiesTix) the Frank Erwin Center at University of Texas (www.texasboxoffice.com), and the Thomas & Mack Center at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (www.unlvtickets.com).
