Paciolan Acquires Season Tickets Enabling Top Venues’ Ticket Exchange, Management and Group Solutions
Irvine, Calif. (3/11/2003)

Paciolan Inc., a leading digital ticketing enabler, announced today that it has purchased substantially all of the assets of Ticket Innovations, Inc. (DBA Season Tickets™), a ticket management technology company that empowers teams, fans and corporate clients to manage and resell their season tickets, suites and group packages online.

Paciolan provides tailored ticket infrastructures that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets — eliminating the need for third-party distributors. By adopting “in-house” tickets solutions, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue.

“Acquiring Season Tickets will extend our suite of digital ticketing solutions,” said John Hnanicek, Paciolan’s CEO, “while adding 22 top-tier sports, arena and corporate clients to our roster such as the St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Avalanche, Turner Arena, Georgia World Congress Center, Nortel Networks, Inc. and Verizon.”

Paciolan’s core ticketing infrastructure combined with Season Tickets’ secondary market applications gives Paciolan’s clients the ability to offer digital tickets to their customers. “Ticket buyers will now have an easy method to transfer ticket ownership digitally through the team or venue — eliminating the need for mailing paper tickets, will call and scalpers. Teams and their fans will have control of the secondary ticket market ensuring seats are filled,” said Hnanicek.

With online sales, exchanges and re-sales, teams will increase revenue by rewarding fans for attendance, optimizing premium ticket inventory and enriching overall ticket package value.

Robert McAuliff, CEO of Season Tickets, who will become Paciolan’s vice president of advance ticket services, said his organization is excited about partnering with the leading ticketing enabler and their college athletic, performing arts, professional sports, arena and museum venues.

“With Paciolan, we’re in a great position to offer teams, venues and corporate clients the ability to gain control of the multi-billion dollar secondary ticketing market through transfers, exchanges and resale of tickets,” said McAuliff.

With the acquisition, Paciolan offers venues the most comprehensive suite of web-based products allowing consumers to purchase, exchange, transfer, resell and donate tickets online via a trusted source — their team or venue. Paciolan’s suite of services includes:
