Announces Regional Ticketing and E-Commerce Partnership with the Adams
Center at University of Montana Paciolan Inc., a leading digital ticketing enabler for entertainment venues, has been selected by the University of Montana to provide the infrastructure for regional ticketing, Internet ticketing, and box office operations. The University’s Adams Center box office sells 300,000 tickets annually for concerts, athletic events, and theatrical productions on campus and in the Missoula area. The Center’s box office operations, formerly known as TIC-IT-E-Z, will now be known as Griz Tix. Paciolan provides tailored ticketing infrastructures that enable large entertainment venues to sell and manage their own tickets — eliminating the need for third-party distributors. By adopting “in-house” ticket solutions, venues maintain exclusive control of their customer relationships, brand and revenue. Paciolan will also enable the Adams Center to operate a regional service offering ticket sales through retail outlets. By centralizing their ticketing activities in the Missoula area, the Adams Center follows the successful model of other Paciolan-facilitated regional implementations such as the Colorado Rockies (RockiesTix), the Frank Erwin Center at University of Texas (www.texasboxoffice.com), and the Thomas & Mack Center at University of Nevada, Las Vegas (www.unlvtickets.com). Paciolan’s hosted e.Venue Internet solution allows the Adams Center to sell tickets via their own branded web site, www.griztix.com. With e.Venue, Grizzly fans, concert attendees and theatre patrons will have access to real-time, best-available ticket inventory via the Internet. In the future, season ticket sales and renewals will also be available online. Additional e.Venue features include view from the seat, custom package sales, targeted email notification, and customized report generation. Paciolan’s ticketing technology includes a patron-centric database with functionality to capture individual student, fan and alumni information such as demographics and ticket purchase history. By controlling their ticket operations in-house, the Adams Center will have the ability to better serve their customers, promoters and other partners while increasing revenue and reducing overhead costs.
