An Exhilarating (Expedited) Exhibition
Last week, Paciolan clients Michigan State and University of Georgia put together an exhibition men's basketball game in just six short days to raise funds for disaster relief. The two NCAA Division I institutions are connected when it comes to hoops, with friendly head coaches and family ties between the departments.
In the wake of recent natural disasters, the programs came together in an exhibition fundraiser for hurricane relief efforts. The Spartans and Georgia came together at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., on Sunday, Oct. 29, playing to a sold-out crowd and raising around $340,000.
Events of this scale usually take 30-90 days of planning, but these universities worked together to create an incredible fan and player experience in a fraction of the time. We’re proud of the great work these organizations are doing!
