Learfield To Acquire Spectra's Ticketing & Fan Engagement Division From Comcast Spectacor

Ticketing, Marketing & Analytics Platform To Reclaim Paciolan Name

 PLANO, Texas & IRVINE, California – Leading college sports marketer, Learfield, continues to build out its suite of services to collegiate athletic departments and live entertainment organizations with the acquisition of the Spectra's Ticketing & Fan Engagement division—formerly known as Paciolan—from Comcast Spectacor. Learfield also announced that the company, a leader in providing ticketing, fundraising, marketing and analytics solutions to athletic and entertainment events, will once again be known as Paciolan.

Paciolan was founded in 1980 by Jane Kleinberger. Its ticketing platform and related fan engagement services are used by 500 live entertainment organizations including 120 leading collegiate athletic departments, 75 performing arts venues, and more than 100 professional sports and arenas clients and several regional ticketing partners who serve hundreds of venues. The Paciolan system processes the sale of over 120 million tickets per year. In more than 37 years of operation, Paciolan has expanded beyond its ticket operations software solutions, adding fundraising, marketing and customer analytics, providing its partners with reliable data and customer insights.

Kim Damron will continue to lead Paciolan in her role as President. Dave Butler will remain as CEO of Paciolan and Founder Jane Kleinberger will also remain with the firm.

The addition of Paciolan is a continuation of Learfield's strategy to add services and expertise important to collegiate athletic departments and other entertainment operators. Similar to Learfield's recent acquisition of Mogo Interactive, it brings to the company a number of forward-looking capabilities, particularly in data collection and utilization.

Paciolan, along with other Learfield companies including SIDEARM Sports, Mogo Interactive, SME and other business units will report to Marc Jenkins, Chief Operating Officer of Learfield, and will work seamlessly together to deliver deeply integrated services to clients. Paciolan's digital marketing services and Mogo Interactive, for example, will collaborate to offer enhanced digital marketing solutions for Paciolan clients and the live entertainment industry. Mogo Interactive brings vast expertise in the performing arts market through their experience in working with 160 arts organizations.

Terms of the transaction are confidential and the sale is expected to close in roughly a month.
