Paciolan to Power Ticketing at CN Centre

One of British Columbia’s leading multi-purpose entertainment, convention and sports facilities will implement the regional ticketing service called TicketsNorth

IRVINE, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2017) –  Paciolan today announced that it has entered into a partnership with CN Centre and Prince George Cougars of the Western Hockey League (WHL) to provide ticketing services. Each year, CN Centre hosts internationally renowned events from concerts to hockey and more, catering to a regional population of 300,000 people and drawing from a radius of hundreds of miles in the huge region.  It serves as the host facility of Prince George Cougars, a CHL Top 10 team throughout the 2016-17 season. The new partnership offers the organization the opportunity to leverage Paciolan’s industry-leading online and digital ticketing and Access Management as well as form a regional ticketing service for the Province of British Columbia, called TicketsNorth. The recent launch of www.ticketsnorth.ca provides fans with a streamlined location to purchase tickets for concerts, hockey, and other events.

“We’re excited to work with Paciolan, in partnership with CN Centre, to better serve Cougars fans,” said Andy Beesley, VP, Business, Prince George Cougars. “Working with the foremost provider of CHL ticketing services will help us raise the bar for customer experience and ticket sales.”

Paciolan, with its sophisticated platform, will power several opportunities for Cougars Fans and season ticket holders. CN Centre will implement Access Management, empowering the arena with a robust digital ticketing system to provide fans with print-at-home and mobile 2D barcode tickets that can be scanned at all events. Access Management enables guests to bypass will call lines and enter the venue quickly upon arrival, while also providing staff with technology to track and validate real-time attendance, and catch fraudulent tickets.

“Introducing TicketsNorth will provide exciting new capabilities for live entertainment fans in British Columbia,” said Glen Mikkelsen, General Manager at CN Centre. “We’re excited to move forward with Paciolan in this new partnership.”

TicketsNorth will now provide ticketing services for all CN Centre events, Prince George Cougars games, as well as other events in Prince George and British Columbia-area venues.  These ticketing services are powered by Paciolan.

Paciolan has helped launch five regional ticketing businesses since 2015, including ICtickets (Idaho), Owensboro Tickets (Western Ky.), Ticket Star (Green Bay, Wis.) Cape Fear Tix (Fayetteville, N.C.) and Empire State Tickets (Mohawk Valley, N.Y.); and is currently working with Westerner Park and Red Deer Rebels to launch Tickets Alberta. Paciolan currently powers 19 regional ticketing services throughout North America that operate across arenas, theatres, performing arts centers, convention centers and universities in their respective markets.

“We are thrilled to partner with CN Centre and the Prince George Cougars to amplify their fan experience and streamline ticketing operations,” said Kim Damron, President and COO at Paciolan. “We are excited to work with another innovative Western Hockey League team and provide a great fan experience in British Columbia with TicketsNorth.”
